Why on demand movies are better than Netflix
Author: Joyce Mccall
I would like to introduce you to my soapbox. Soapbox meet audience. Audience meet soapbox. Ok now that everyone has been formally introduced let’s get down to brass tacks. We will start with Netflix. Do you guys have a subscription to this? I do. Let’s be honest it sounds like a really cool idea. All I have to do is pay a flat fee and I get to watch as many DVDs as I want?! What’s that you say? Just put them in that little red envelope and send it off and a new one will show up in my mailbox? Awesome. Where do I sign? So that is what I was thinking when I signed up for Netflix. The only problem is every time I want to watch a movie it is never already AT MY HOUSE. This is not a good plan. Oh great, now I have to wait two days to get the dvd that I want to watch today? I will say it again, this is not a good plan. So now I have direct tv prices and with that I also have a little gem of ondemand movies. I can watch pretty much whatever I want whenever I want. This is a much better plan.
Young Kids And Smartphones
I recently had a family dinner, and my two cousins happened to be there. While I tried to talk to the twelve year old, I realized he was pretty much ignoring me. Every time I asked him something, he would be too interested in his phone to actually answer. This is when I started to realize that parents buying smartphones for their young kids just makes no sense. There can’t be any reason why a twelve year old would need to be able to check their e-mail on the go. Do they really need to be able to go on Facebook all the time? I honestly think kids will only become spoiled if they are given an smartphone. It will only cause them to want the next newest gadget, and then it’s a never ending cycle from there. I strongly believe parents should think twice before buying their child the next $200 phone.
Oklahoma’s Teens Banned From Driving While On Phone?
Oklahoma teens under eighteen years old may no longer be able to drive and talk on their cellphones. While I do hope the bill does pass, there are some questions I do think about. Like why this isn’t already banned? I’ve just heard too many stories which a driver wasn’t experienced and they just didn’t take driving seriously. Teens are easily distracted even when they aren’t on the phone, so what would make anyone think that driving and talking/texting is a good idea. This bill should have been passed a long time ago.
My second question is why is this bill only going to pertain to those who are eighteen? Being on the phone while driving is dangerous for any age group, so why not make this bill for everyone. Just because someone is experienced, doesn’t mean that they won’t get distracted when talking and driving. It’s just so unsafe, and I don’t think anyone should be allowed to do it.
biggest loser
Thanks for the article from Isaiah Gaines
At work we are doing a program called the Biggest Loser. It’s a weight loss incentive to try to support each other in our weight loss goals. If you want to participate, you simply pay $10 to the lady coordinating it, and get weighed. Then, 8 weeks later, the person who has lost the highest percentage of their body weight gets the cash. I think we are up to $180 dollars. That sure would be fun to win, and even more fun to lose weight. The ladies were talking in the break room about a Biggest Loser website, and it sounds cool. I’m going to sign up to get internet at home through satellite star internet.com so I can go to that site, too. They said it is basically like a blog where we can chat about how we are doing, strategies that work for us, and basically just offer support for one another. I think that support and accountability is going to be key for me to finally lose the 30 pounds I’ve been carrying around since I had my babies.
Cell Phone Use Causes Selfishness
Although there might not be proof that using your cell phone causes cancer, it turns out that it could actually cause you to be selfish. The main point that was proven was that if you are out somewhere and you are on your phone, you are less likely to be pro social. This really does make sense, because people tend to be content when they are playing with their phone. Even if they are in a social setting, they probably won’t feel the need to get off their phone and communicate with others. This means that they will probably not get off their phone and help someone out. They will be more into themselves and their phone. I think smartphones have only made this worse, because they have only caused people to spend more time on their phone.

I recently got a new car, and I’m very excited about it. Of course getting a new car gives us an excuse to get accessories for it. I took advantage of this, and decided to get some accessories for my phone. I know that driving and talking on the phone isn’t very safe, so I decided to get Bluetooth. I’m now able to drive and talk to my family and friends without even touching the phone. I really think I’m addicted to my phone, and I always feel the need to be able to talk to people. Now I can safely drive my new car and still talk to as well, and I couldn’t be happier. The best thing about my new Bluetooth is that I got such as great deal on it because I got it from cellphoneshop.net.
I went on the internet to find a great deal, because I refused to spend the amount that the cell phone store was asking. Once I saw the prices that the website was offering, I was sold. I was also able to get a car charger for my phone as well, and of course it was at a great price. I knew I was going to be spending a lot of time in my new car, so I knew having a car charger would come in handy. I’m sure happy that I decided to get the charger, because I seem to always be cruising around in my new Jeep.
In addition to getting some accessories for my car, I also took advantage of the great prices on the website for covers. I feel like everyone’s phone pretty much looks the same, and I wanted mine to stand out. I was able to get a great deal on a personalized skin. I was actually able to get a picture of my dog onto a skin for my phone. I’m now sure that my phone will stick out from everyone elses! I got the accessories I wanted at a great price, what else can I ask for?

I probably check my email 20 to 30 times a day. I have become addicted. I am constantly checking my email because I do not have a smart phone. I understand that I am in the minority, but I am unwilling to pay the extra monthly costs to have internet access on my phone. I know many people have smart phones, and they are alerted whenever a new email comes in. Since I do not have a smart phone, I just check my email all of the time. I check it while I am at work, and I check it when I get home through my clear wireless internet Odessa. The only problem is that I have so much junk mail all of the time. Every time I have made a purchase online, I give my email address out. Now I get emails from every company from whom I have ever purchased a product. It is ridiculous. I am addicted to checking my email, but I have to check it a lot because I am constantly deleting all of the junk mail that comes into my inbox.
An App for Widespread Chaos?
According to The Times of India, social networks are swiftly replacing cell phones as the preferred means of communication in Australia. A similar trend could be noted in the United States, as many people seek to purchase smart phones that support social networking applications to stay in touch with friends and loved ones.
What does this mean for the cell phone market? It means that any cell phones that aren’t smart phones should just throw in the towel, for one. But it also has implications in the larger mobile device category. Smart phones will need to be all the more useful for consumers to continue to bother with them. Texting is still popular in most countries, but soon the capabilities of smart phones could win out over the limited (albeit, fast) communication through texting.
In the end, as long as smart phone developers play their cards right and remember that relevance is the name of the game, they should be fine in the broader consumer market. After all, what would people do if they couldn’t access their social network to communicate with friends instantaneously? I’m betting on widespread chaos.
Nokia and Microsoft Hit all the Right Notes
Recently, Nokia made what many believed to be an impossible comeback at the Consumer Electronics Show.
A few short years ago, many attendees thought that Nokia was certainly out of the race against iPhone and Android products. However, in 2011, Nokia was chosen by Microsoft to design the first of its Windows smart phones.
The Lumia 900, Nokia and Window’s smart phone combination opened at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show to rave reviews from users. The phone runs on LTE wireless networks, and should be arriving in the United States in March.
People have already begun to buzz about what this phone could mean for Nokia’s competition, namely Apple and Android products. This phone is likely to restore Nokia to its former glory, and perhaps help it to surpass many top-name competitors in its race for smart phone glory.
Meanwhile, the partnership between Nokia and Microsoft has helped both companies to experience increased attention in the news media.
The Best Internet Plan
I’m really not a big technology person, but I do see why so many people think having internet on their phone is absolutely necessary. I just find it difficult to spend a lot of money from any cell phone company, when I’m not going to use the internet very often. I have my Nokia phone, which I pretty much just use to talk on and listen to music. I don’t find myself using it too often to surf the web, as i use my laptop on the go. My phone is just so small to see any website, and it’s just pointless.
To prevent myself from spending a lot of money when I’m using the internet on my laptop, I rely on companies which let me pay a lower price than the big time companies require. Clearwirelessinternet4g.com offers plans as low as $35.00 per month, which is much lower than the major companies.
